Semaglutide injection or Tirzepatide injection is a once-a-week dose that works by mimicking hormones that target areas of the brain involved in regulating appetite and food intake. This can help you eat less and lead to weight loss.

Healthy eating and activity are recommended while using this medication.

This medication follows a titration schedule:

All patients must start with ‘month 1’ dosage.  After month 1, the dosage per injection increases gradually in months 2, 3, 4, and 5.  Lastly, the maintenance dosage can be ongoing for up to 8 months depending on your goals.

What is weight loss management?

Weight loss management is an important part of maintaining your overall health. While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, the key to successful weight loss is a combination of healthy meals, regular exercise, and a lifestyle that keeps you motivated.

Some common factors Reno Premier Medicine can help you with include developing a custom-fit eating plan that emphasizes whole, nutrient-dense foods. Your provider may also help you find a physical activity you enjoy and want to return to.

Excessive weight may have underlying health issues or emotional factors, such as thyroid dysfunction. The goal of weight loss management is to establish a healthy, balanced approach to eating and exercise that supports your overall well-being rather than simply achieving a certain number on the scale.

What are the benefits of weight loss?

Losing weight offers several benefits for your emotional, physical, and mental health. Shedding excess pounds can improve your overall fitness and mobility, reducing your risk of developing chronic conditions, such as diabetes.

Losing weight can also boost your energy levels while improving your sleep quality and reducing joint pain. This, in turn, makes it easier to stay active and enjoy life to the fullest.

You may also experience a boost to your self-esteem and body image, helping you feel more confident and comfortable in your skin. By making healthy, sustainable changes to your lifestyle, you can reap the benefits of weight loss and improve your overall quality of life.

What kinds of treatments exist for weight loss?

Regarding weight loss treatments, there are various options available at Reno Premier Medicine, depending on your individual needs and goals. For some, lifestyle changes such as healthy eating and exercise may be enough to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. You may also use IV therapy to help with weight loss or address a condition that is inhibiting it.

However, for others who may be struggling with more severe or chronic weight issues, medication may be necessary to help jumpstart their weight loss journey. Weight loss medications work by blocking fat uptake, reducing appetite, or increasing metabolism.

It's important to note that some tools, such as weight loss medications, are not a quick fix or a substitute for healthy habits but rather a tool to support weight loss efforts.

Jumpstart your weight loss journey today with the help of Reno Premier Medicine and call to schedule an appointment. You can also book online through the reservation portal.
